Mat Classes

The Mat Class provides a workout which addresses common issues.  I do make every effort to incorporate specific exercises depending on the needs of the group.  Clients are also welcome to request focus on specific areas they would like to improve.

 

Before you join a class, I will ask you to attend a 1:2:1 to assess your movement and to ensure that you are familiar with the basic principles of Pilates.

 

Class Location

Small group classes are held at First Place Nursery, 1 Falconer Road, Bushey, WD23 3AQ.

 

Class Times

Currently there are only classes on Thursday evenings:

:.7pm - beginners/therapeutic/improvers

:.8pm - intermediate/advanced

Block 1: 15 February - 29 March

Block 2: 12 April -  24 May (excl 3 May)

Extra class: 31 May

Block 3: 7 June - 19 July

Block 4: 6 September - 18 October (excl 27 September)

Extra class: 25 October

Block 5: 1 November - 20 December

 

2008 Class Schedule

Block 1: 10 January - 14 February (excl 24 January)

Block 2: 21 February - 20 March

Extra class: 27 March (pilates with balls)

Extra class: 3 April (pilates with weights)

Block 3: 10 April - 29 May (excl 8 May)

Block 4: 5 June - 17 July

Extra class: 24 July (pilates with balls)

Extra class: 31 July (pilates with weights)

Block 5: 4 September - 2 October

Block 6: 9 October - 6 November

Block 7: 13 November - 18 December

 

Classes during August will be subject to demand, and will be confirmed closer to the time.

 

Class Prices

£10.00 per class – fully payable at the first class of a block.  All classes need to be booked in advance.  Minimum £20 deposit required at the last class of each block to guarantee a place in the next block.

 

£35 per 1:2:1; £46 per 2:2:1 - negotiable for multiple bookings.

 

Payment is by cash or cheque.

 

I operate a 48 hour cancellation policy.  If a class is cancelled in time, a credit will be given for the next block.

 

Clothing

Please choose clothes that you are comfortable in and that allow you to move freely - a close fitting T-shirt, leggings for ladies and shorts / tracksuit bottoms for men. As your movement needs to be watched, please ensure that clothing isn’t too baggy. For your feet - socks or bare feet are fine.

 

Progression

If you want to progress more quickly, you should also consider doing some Pilates exercises outside of your classes.  Please speak with me so that I can put together a home practice program for you and ensure that you know how to perform them safely on your own.
